Most people find acupuncture treatments deeply relaxing. Studies have proven acupuncture reduces anxiety and stress by reducing cortisol levels. Acupuncture also stimulates the release of endorphins, the body’s natural pain killers, making it an excellent natural treatment for any type of pain.

Acupuncture is a technique in which fine needles – the width of just a few human hairs – are inserted into the skin to treat health problems. The needles may be adjusted manually or stimulated with small electrical currents (electroacupuncture). Acupuncture focuses on restoring and balancing your natural energy (“Qi”, pronounced “chee”), resulting in improved physical function, smoother emotional shifts, and a more grounded spirit.

Dr. Noemi sees only one patient at a time and gauges the body's response to each needle, using the minimum number of needles to achieve the desired result. She incorporates breathing exercises, massage, infrared light therapy, and topicals to complement the acupuncture. Her approach to care is trauma-informed, interactive, and at a pace dictated by your body. Many people who come to her have never had acupuncture before. Unlike most practices where the acupuncturist has patients in 2-4 rooms at once, you will have Dr. Noemi's full attention during your appointment.
